Anima Eterna Brugge
Jos van Immerseel

Studio 4

Showtimes: 13 March 2010 - 20:15

Jos van Immerseel has put together a musical portrait of Paris from 1888 to 1933. His programme takes in romanticism and symbolism, with Frank’s Symphony vying for attention with Paul Dukas’s Sorcerer’s Apprentice. Baritone Thomas Bauer will take on the Man from la Mancha in Ravel’s Don Quichotte à Dulcinée. The cherry on the cake will be Sergei Istomin, Anima Eterna’s cellist in the heart-aching solo of Fauré’s Elegy. A fervent believer in period sounds, Van Immerseel will undoubtedly ensure that the scores shine with their original lustre.
