Claude Miller directs his best thriller, inspired by a novel by Marc Behm. The music is by Carla Bley (with a little help from Schubert) in this story of a mesmerised cop (Michel Serrault) on the traces of a young murderer played by a glowing Isabelle Adjani. Her trail of dead rich men takes them from France to Germany, Belgium and Italy.
