Michele De Lucchi

Michele De Lucchi was born in 1951 in Ferrara and graduated in architecture in Florence. During the period of radical and experimental architecture he was a prominent figure in movements like Cavart, Alchymia and Memphis.  De Lucchi has designed lamps and furniture for the most known Italian and European companies. For Olivetti he has been Director of Design from 1992 to 2002 and he has elaborated various personal theories on the evolution of the workplace. He has developed experimental projects for Compaq Computers, Philips, Siemens and Vitra.

Postcards from the future
The postcard from Place Flagey

On Sunday October 24, a 10 minute choreography for 40 ‘actors’ will be repeated during 5 hours. This marathon creates a trance-like state in which the same actions will happen over and over again while life on the square continues ...Visitors are invited by a postcard, picturing 6 scenes of the choreography, to watch the performance from 6 different apartments surrounding the square. Addresses of the apartments, as well as the exact time of the performance will be indicated on the postcard, available at Centre Flagey during the month of September.
