Tatiana Samouil & David Lively

One of the most beautiful aspects of the Queen Elisabeth Competition, is how it can unite musicians across borders and generations. It’s how pianist David Lively and the Russian violinist Tatiana Samouil met. He was laureate of the 1972 edition and became ‘an American in Paris'. She was laureate of the 2002 edition and continued to live in Brussels. They found mutual ground in their passion for the French repertoire. After their first album with the complete chamber music of César Franck, they now present their latest album with music by Fauré, Ravel and Chausson.
