The wind rises

An unusual biopic of Jiro Horikoshi, designer of the Zero, the fighter plane that briefly allowed Japan to rule the skies in the Pacific War. An animation film with a paradoxical message: it alienated Japanese nationalists, annoyed by the arguments that condemn Japanese warmongering, as well as Western pacifists, perplexed at the glorification of the man who created a war machine.
