Saving Mr. Wu is a action/crime/thriller, base on the true events of a infamous kidnapping of a movie star.

Outside of a busy bar street during the holidays, Hong Kong actor Mr. Wu (Andy Lau) gets taken away by Zhang Hua (Qianyuan Wang) who is disguised as a police officer.

After receiving news of the possible kidnapping, the police dispatches their best investigation team Xing Feng(Ye Liu) and Cao Gang(Roufu Wu) to investigate the case.
