Stéphane Bouquet
About the future [ERG]
Stéphane Bouquet on writing’s relationship to the future, departing from his recent book Les Amours suivants (2013).
Stéphane Bouquet published six poetry books at Champ Vallon Publishers (Dans l’année de cet âge, 2001 ; Un monde existe, 2002 ; Le Mot frère, 2005 ; Un peuple, 2007 ; Nos Amériques, 2010 ; Les Amours suivants, 2013). He proposed several translations of American poets, such as Robert Creeley (Le Sortilège, éd. Nous), Paul Blackburn (Villes, éd. José Corti) and Peter Gizzi (L’Externationale, éd. José Corti). He also works as a scriptwriter for several films, after having worked for a long period as a film critic at the Cahiers du cinéma. He collaborated – as a dancer and a dramatist – at the choreographic creations by Mathilde Monnier, Déroutes (2002) and frère&sœur (2005). Stéphane Bouquet is one of the most innovatory voices in the landscape of French poetry.
