Pop Up Jazz’ Africa : workshop [NL+FR]

Through this workshop, children are invited to discover the roots behind American jazz and explore various Afro-American music styles. First, they learn about traditional African music and its influence on the development of jazz music. Their historical and musical journey will be generously illustrated with sound recordings, videos and images. During the second part of the workshop, a well-known jazz musician initiates the children to jazz rhythms and the practice of African musical instruments.
