French Algeria in the 20s, the religions are at loggerheads. The rabbi, his talking cat – who want to convert to Judaism – an imam, two very different Russians, and a donkey set off on a quest for a mythical land. A humorous voyage of discovery which will reveal each character’s tolerance and intolerance, lucidity and narrow-mindedness, illustrating different ways of perceiving spirituality and the hope for an ultimately harmonious diversity.
