De European Jazz Orchestra is er weer, met een nieuwe dirigente - de Zweedse Ann-Sofi Söderqvist -, een hele boel nieuwe composities en een nieuwe line-up van zorgvuldig gekozen muzikanten tussen 18 en 30 jaar. De EJO is één van de grootste internationale jazz bigband-projecten.

"Since the start of the EJO in 1998, around 300 European musicians have participated and over 200 concerts have been arranged in 35 countries in Europe, North and South America and in Asia."
