Founded in 1981 by the Hagen family in Salzburg, the Hagen Quartet has risen to the pinnacle of international chamber music. With nearly fifty recordings on Deutsche Grammophon and Myrios Classics, and an ECHO Klassik award in 2011 as “Ensemble of the Year,” the quartet boasts an impressive track record. Today, with a mix of pride and nostalgia, the ensemble embarks on its farewell tour. This final program pays tribute to some of the composers who have shaped their journey: Mozart, Webern, and Schubert. A farewell worthy of an exceptional career, filled with refinement and emotion.
