Bleek Gilliam is a talented and self-centred jazz trumpeter, whose single-minded concentration on his music leaves many, especially the women in his life, scrambling for his attention. Bleek forms his own band The Bleek Gilliam Quartet, and a rivalry emerges with bandmate Shadow that threatens to tear apart the quartet. Spike Lee’s ‘Mo Better Blues" perfectly captures the atmosphere of jazz
