Chinese pianist Jiaxin Min received a standing ovation at her very first solo recital at Flagey on 22 June. She impressed with her mature and energetic touch, remarkable virtuosity, and deeply moving musicality. According to ResMusica, she delivered “a blazing recital” — a performance that fully lived up to her reputation as one of the audience favourites at the Queen Elisabeth Competition. Offering a stage to young, promising artists and actively supporting them in their artistic development is at the heart of Flagey’s mission. We are therefore delighted to welcome Jiaxin Min back to Flagey, this time with a brand-new programme featuring works by Franz Schubert, Sergei Prokofiev, and Claude Debussy.
