The Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Brussels is proud to present the film Tegar. The film tells the story of Tegar, a 10-year-old boy with special needs who dreams of going to school and making friends. His grandfather (65), who supports his wish, has passed away. Tegar’s mother, Wida, does not share his grandfather’s views, forcing Tegar to once again put his dream of attending school and making friends aside. Busy with work, Wida entrusts Tegar to Isy, his nanny. One day, Isy is forced to return to her hometown to care for her sick mother, leaving Tegar home alone to fend for himself. Determined to fulfil his simple dream, Tegar eventually decides to leave home and embark on a journey to attend school and make friends.
Following the screening, a Q&A session will be held with the film’s producer and director, Mr. Chandra Sembiring and Mrs. Anggi Frisca. Guests are then warmly invited to join the reception afterwards, where they can savour a selection of Indonesian cuisine.
