Wajdi Riahi Trio Brass & Bow

The trio is reshaped by a string quartet from Brussels Philharmonic and the expressive trumpet of Jean-Paul Estiévenart. The music, inspired by stambeli traditions, forms a continuous suite — one flowing breath. At times, strings and brass take the lead; at others, they dissolve into the trio’s texture. Two older works are rearranged, connecting past and present. Each musician brings their own musical background, adding depth and nuance. The result is a vibrant, evolving sound that expands the trio’s familiar voice into something broader and more layered. A living piece of music in constant transformation.
