Two young men from the Oglala Lakota tribe live on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota. Bill, 23, is desperate to make ends meet. Matho, 12, is eager to become a man. Bound together by their quest to belong in an unfriendly society, they try to chart their own course to adulthood. Eva a 16-year-old girl lives with her mother, her younger sister and their cat, but wants to move in with her estranged father. Clinging onto him, she tries to balance between the tenderness and sensitivity of teenage life.
