Famous Beethoven´s Symphony No. 9 “Ode to Joy” under the baton of the celebrated Slovak conductor Oliver von Dohnányi will be performed on the occasion of the Slovak Presidency of the Council of the European Union. This concert is a joint performance formed by two European orchestras: the Slovak Sinfonietta Žilina (Slovakia) and the Henryk Mikołaj Górecki Silesian Philharmonic (Poland), both members of ONE® – an Orchestra Network for Europe –. They will perform together with the Silesian Philharmonic Choir (Jarosław Wolanin - choirmaster) and the notorious Slovak singers Mária Porubčinová (soprano), Terézia Kružliaková (mezzo-soprano), Ľudovít Ludha (tenor), Peter Mikuláš (bass), within the framework of the project ONE® is more, co-funded by the Creative Europe Programme of the European Union.
