All the candidates who have been successful in the video preselection process can take part in the first public round. They will each perform two pieces of their own choosing (opera arias, oratorio arias, Lieder or art songs), in different languages and of different periods, with piano accompaniment.

The names of the 24 semi-finalists will be announced on Monday 10 May, after the last performance.
