As part of SOLIDAR'XL 2026, the Municipality of Ixelles is organising a major cultural and civic evening in support of the future Brussels Women's House (#MDFBXL).
Two committed Brussels-based artists, Klara Verkin and Matthieu Thonon, will share the stage for an evening celebrating music and solidarity.
A young independent Brussels artist, Klara Verkin creates pop, folk and electro worlds through songs in French. Through her lyrics and compositions, she explores, among other things, a question that is particularly meaningful to her: what does it mean to be a young woman in today's world?
She will share the stage with Brussels pianist Matthieu Thonon, who has released two albums praised for the sincerity of their lyrics and their pop melodies infused with electro. Following an intimate format presented in 2024–2025, he is currently preparing a third album, scheduled for release in 2027.
An evening in support of the Brussels Women's House
Beyond the music, this evening is an invitation to provide concrete support for the future Brussels Women's House, a project led by the teams of “320, rue Haute” at CHU Saint-Pierre.
This future facility will bring together, in a safe and dedicated environment, reception, healthcare, support and protection services for women who are victims of gender-based and sexual violence.
Every ticket directly contributes to supporting this project.
Before the concerts, the audience will also have the opportunity to discover the immersive exhibition “What Were You Wearing That Day?”, made available by Amnesty International, which challenges common misconceptions surrounding sexual violence.
The evening will conclude with an informal gathering and drinks.
