La Rivière is the story of two friends from very different worlds who, after a long time performing solo, decided to join forces and combine their respective inspirations: Bini’s, rooted in French chanson centred on love, hope and tears; and Flow’s, full of world music songs she has composed or picked up along the way during her travels. Both deeply committed to the art of songwriting, they have come together around original compositions which, in turn, explore emotions, celebrate the beauty of the world and champion human relationships, self-confidence and the richness of our differences.
Deeply convinced of music’s power to bring people together, Bini and Flow draw on a wide range of influences to shape their artistic identity, ranging from jazz to English pop-folk, via French and Spanish chanson, Indian music and the vocal traditions of Eastern European countries. A sensitive and deeply human acoustic pop-folk duo, where melodies and harmonies are just as fundamental as the universal values conveyed through their lyrics.
