Experience MESTIZX, the fiery debut of vocalist and performer Ibelisse Guardia Ferragutti and drummer Frank Rosaly. Based in Amsterdam, they bring together their Bolivian, Brazilian, and Puerto Rican roots in an intense musical narrative about identity, colonial legacy, and ritual. Ferragutti explains: “We are travelers between worlds, storytellers across languages, cultures, and visions. MESTIZX acknowledges the strength and complexity of that mixed existence.” With echoes of Juana Molina and Elza Soares, the duo weaves avant-jazz, cumbia, art punk, and folk into a rhythmic, captivating sound. Released on International Anthem Records, MESTIZX is raw, ritualistic, and strikingly original.
