Special guest: Tutu Puoane

Half a century of jazz in the Wallonia-Brussels Federation makes for a long history filled with emotions and memories. To celebrate this milestone, Les Lundis d’Hortense are pulling out all the stops with a spectacular double bill featuring a number of major artists who shaped the past fifty years.

Nathalie Loriers 1, 2, 3 Piano

For over 35 years, Nathalie Loriers has established herself as an essential figure, widely acclaimed for her refinement and sensitivity. A pianist with a distinctive touch, an inspired composer, and an exceptional improviser, she has built a rich body of work spanning a dozen albums, alongside numerous prestigious collaborations with the likes of Toots Thielemans, Lee Konitz, and the Brussels Jazz Orchestra. To celebrate both the 50th anniversary of Les Lundis d’Hortense and her own 60th birthday, she brings together several long-standing musical companions. From solo piano to sextet, through the various line-ups that have shaped her career, Nathalie Loriers invites us on a special journey through her musical universe.

Belgian Jazz Ensemble & Tutu Puoane

Les Lundis d’Hortense challenges itself to look back on its own contribution to the Belgian jazz scene. Bringing together musicians from different generations, the organisation has assembled a dream tentet line-up. This all-star ensemble breathes new life into compositions by artists who have shaped these fifty years of history, through arrangements created especially for the occasion. A concert to remember, celebrate, and look ahead: don’t miss this musical fireworks display that we will likely still be talking about for the next fifty years.
