The four seasons of Cinergie

Four films for the summer season of the Four Seasons of Cinergie, with four variations on daily life, where fiction becomes muddled with reality and vice-versa. There is an assorted mix on the schedule to say the least, in which the impenetrability of the bosses’ villa (Surveiller les tortues / Turtle Sitting by Ines Rabadan) is juxtaposed with one of the first cinema appearances of the singer Arno, in the contradictory universe of a school, a place for intellectual openness and social formatting (J’adore le cinéma by Vincent Lannoo), served up by an array of high calibre actors - Olivier Gourmet, Lubna Azabal and Raphaëlle Bruneau. Added to the mix is the hideaway of a foreigner struggling with his inner desires (Phone Story by Binevsa Berîvan) and the underground tunnels of a coal mine in Rémi Vandenitte’s animation film Grise mine. These are four stories of dreams or nightmares, desires or fears, emprisonment or freedom.
