Aleksandra

One of the few films to depict (in superb long takes) the Chechen conflict, seen from the ravaged city of Grozny. Aleksandra is also an homage to its main performer, the renowned soprano Galina Vishnevskaya (80 years old), whose character has a now legendary nomad following her halfway through the film.
