Mark Lanegan with special guest Duke Garwood and Lyenn

Mark Lanegan acoustic

Mark Lanegan
We hardly have to introduce Mark Lanegan anymore. He simultaneously hurts and heals with his deep raw voice. Hurts, as in ‘rocking hard’ like in the Queens Of The Stone Age days or with the Mark Lanegan band that accompanied him on classic releases like Bubblegum (’04) and recently also Blues Funeral (’12). Healing, as he did during the collaboration with Isobel Campbell or alone with his stunning, modest, acoustic gems of songs. Mark Lanegan will also come to Brussels in that 'healing' capacity: acoustic.

Special guest: Duke Garwood
Special guest will be London's multi-instrumentalist Duke Garwood. Earlier this year he released the acoustic album ‘Black Pudding’ with Lanegan.

Lyenn
At the invitation of Mark Lanegan, we'll be opening with Brussels-inhabitant and part-time New Yorker Lyenn. He's also been gaining attention with Dans Dans over the past year.

"Black Pudding is a sober and reserved but moody piece of work that could serve as the soundrack to a dusty western. The contributions of other musicians are minimal: the emphasis lies mostly upon Mark Lanegan's husky crooner-voice and Garwood's subtle, largely acoustic fingerpicking." (Cobra)
