20:15 - David Enhco Quartet
The young French trumpet player David Enhco released his first opus entitled La Horde as a leader at the beginning of 2013. On that record that one has to approach as an initiatory tale, David has surrounded himself with three friends and fantastic musicians: the pianist Roberto Negro, the bassist Florent Nisse and the drummer Gautier Garrigue. They love exploring new musical universes and that keeps them enriching each other and create evenly balanced music.
"Beauté et maîtrise parfaite du son d'ensemble, compositions délicates : le quartet mené par le jeune trompettiste David Enhco constitue un bel exemple de haut degré de maturité et d'intelligence musicale. De jeunes musiciens à suivre et à ne pas lâcher!" (Eric Quenot - Jazzman)
21:15 - AdHd
Have you ever heard Icelandic jazz? It seems that jazz has spread everywhere! Despite its remoteness, the country is well-known for its flourishing and high-level musical life – Björk and Sigur Rós lovers will agree on that. But aside from these international stars, ADHD certainly deserves more recognition, says Jef Levenson from Blue Note. The band brings one of the leading jazz-blues acts in Iceland. A pure moment of chemistry and magic: ADHD's melodic sound weaves the melancholy of the dark nordic winter with the unexpected expressiveness of Reykjavik's avant-garde scene.
The band has already released 4 albums so far: adhd1 (2009), adhd2 (2011), adhd3 and adhd4 (both in 2013) on the label Contemplate.
"ADHD is the coolest un-cool band going and you'd be a damned fool to miss them." (Birkir Fjalar Viðarsson)
