With 'Vers Madrid’, Sylvain George creates a newsreel that deliberately invokes the cinegraphic spirit of Robert Kramer, Jean-Luc Godard and others from the 1970s. It is a newsreel that presents views, scenes, political moments and the class struggle of the revolution in Madrid from 2011-2013. The experimental newsreel, is a testament to the political and poetic experiments of the new life put in order by the people and the generations of individuals that have long been restrained in silence.
