Kin Gajo

Kin Gajo is the adventurous project of accordionist Stan Maris (Kreis, Ocean Eddie) with saxophonist Werend Van Den Bossche (Dishwasher, Sonic Hug) and drummer Tom Peeters (Elias D’hooge Trio). Together, they create a refreshing mix of contemporary jazz with hip-hop influences and inventive electronics. In 2023, their debut EP Āku (W.E.R.F.) was released and was immediately featured on the compilation album Lefto Presents Jazz Cats Volume 3. Since then, the trio has conquered the Brussels jazz scene and won the Young Jazz Talent Gent 2024 award, earning them a spot on the main stage of Gent Jazz a year later. For their new album and concert series with Jazzlab, they are collaborating with illustrator Moon, who translates their music into manga, creating a unique cross-pollination between disciplines and genres.
