Tony Siqi Yun
Waldstein Sonata
Canadian pianist Tony Siqi Yun is just in his early twenties, yet he is already conquering the world’s top stages, from Carnegie Hall to Hamburg’s Elbphilharmonie. His career took off after winning the First China International Music Competition in 2019 and the prestigious Lotto-Förderpreis at the Rheingau Music Festival in 2023. At Flagey, he debuts with Schumann’s tender Kinderszenen, Liszt’s spiritual Bénédiction de Dieu and Beethoven’s monumental Waldstein Sonata. Pianist Magazine calls him “a true poet of the keyboard: expressive, with a personal voice, yet always elegant and controlled.”
