La Semaine du SON.OOR 2026

LA SEMAINE DU SON.OOR, formerly known as La Semaine du Son / De Week van de Klank, is part of an international movement under the aegis of UNESCO and organises various activities around sound and sound awareness. A wide-ranging programme of workshops, lectures, sound walks, encounters, concerts, performances, listening sessions and screenings highlights various aspects of sound, sound practices and relevant social issues. All events are free of charge and open to a broad audience. 

 The festival offers artists a “laboratory” space in which to explore new directions or collaborations. It allows them to meet new audiences and to present their creations in an unusual setting outside the traditional circuit. These sound laboratories are an opportunity for artists and the public to explore different aspects of sound, to meet each other, to engage in dialogue and to become aware of the importance of listening and the quality of a sound environment.

 The next edition of SON.OOR will take place from 26 January to 1 February in Brussels, and from 2 to 8 February 2026 in Flanders and Wallonia.
