Discover the next generation of jazz musicians! For the second time, the Toots Thielemans Jazz Award will take place during the Brussels Jazz Festival, thanks to a collaboration between Flagey and the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel. Experts in the field award the most promising student(s) from the jazz department with a prize and the opportunity to perform live in a professional setting. This year’s winner is matoka, a Brussels-based musician who channels the physical energy of electronic dance music into a jazz performance.
