An exciting evening when researchers, universities, civil societies and artists build new foundations for a just transition.

Global challenges are not the sum specific, isolated issues: they are deeply rooted in the fabric of our global society, shaped by complex factors such as economics, politics, and technology, with no single solution to resolve them.

Join us on Wednesday, 3 December 2025 “Decarbonising Belgium: Bridging Silos, Building Futures” and the launch of the SWIFFT Collective, a collaboration between the Helios Foundation, ULB, and VUB. Throughout an evening woven together by music, dance, and poetry, discover how new paths can be created through collaboration and methodology and discover seven trailblazing projects linking academic research and on the ground action. By building connections, it is possible today to align research, policy, and community action, ensuring that solutions are not only technically sound but also socially just and democratically grounded.

So together, we will ask: from construction to housing, from food systems governance to energy communities, what pathways are necessary for scaling innovation to lead the way toward a cleaner, greener future for everyone?

The event is free and open to everyone, and will be followed by a cocktail.
