La grazia
Paolo Sorrentino | Film Fest Gent on Tour 25|26
The tenure of President Mariano De Santis is coming to an end. Mockingly nicknamed “Cemento armato” (reinforced concrete) for his rigid character and excessively cautious political style, he leads a solitary existence in the echoing halls of the presidential palace, mourning the loss of his wife and listening to hip-hop. Before returning to ordinary life, De Santis must take a series of bold decisions: two presidential pardons and a groundbreaking piece of legislation. These choices will shape his legacy forever.
