Flagey Academy

The Flagey Academy youth choir, under the direction of Zeno Popescu, transports us into a musical universe filled with spirituality and beauty with Songs of Sanctuary by Karl Jenkins. Through these moving and powerful pieces, the voices of the young singers create an atmosphere that is both luminous and captivating, offering the audience a unique moment of musical communion.

Composed by Karl Jenkins, a Welsh composer renowned for his ability to blend classical music, jazz, and ethnic influences, Songs of Sanctuary is a work that explores serenity and meditation through the human voice. Published in 1994, it marked the beginning of the Adiemus series, famous for its rich sounds and enchanting harmonies, combining invented texts with timeless melodies.

The program will be enriched with other pieces that highlight the choir’s diversity and talent.
