Meet Cédric Klapisch

An exclusive meeting with Cédric Klapisch, French writer and director whose international fame was made by "L'auberge espagnole", a 2002 film featuring young Europeans going to university in Barcelona as part of the European Erasmus program. In "L'auberge espagnole", first part of a trilogy followed by "Les poupées russes" in 2005 and "Casse-tête chinois" in 2013, Cédric Klapisch depicts a mobile, multicultural and self-seeking youth. Hosted by Domenico La Porta, editor in chief of Cineuropa, director of Kweb and film critic at the RTBF (CinéStation) and organized by Flagey, Cinematek, the Society of Audiovisual Authors and Europa Distribution, this event will question Cédric Klapisch on the genesis and symbolic of his trilogy, on his career as contemporary European film director as well as his artistic choices in cinema and his commitment as a citizen a few weeks prior to the European elections. This interview will be conducted in French.
