During a rescue operation, Ploddy the feisty police car falls victim to a powerful electric shock. Everyone fears the worst, but miraculously the little car survives and is even more energetic than before! It's just as well, as he has to tackle two criminals who are taking water from a mountain lake and reselling it. Ploddy and his friend Dottie, the beaver, do their utmost to solve the case.
