Using an array of effect pedals and a loop station, Liesa Van der Aa magically transforms her violin and voice into a unique sound result. Her first album Troops from 2012 oscillates between fragility and rough violence – "à la PJ Harvey". Real songs, but always with an unexpected experimental dimension, free of every cliché.
