Third and final concert with Gérard Depardieu, this time on the theme of the night and the first world war with three powerful texts: Transfigured Night by Richard Dehmel, with the famous sextet composed by Schönberg; Harmonie du soir by Charles Baudelaire (a work that inspired Eugène Ysaye); and select excerpts from Flemish novelist Erwin Mortier’s book While the Gods Were Sleeping, accompanied by the too rarely heard music of Albert Huybrechts.
