Brussels Film Festival / Official competition
A group of young ‘quinquis’ (nomadic Spaniards) try to survive in difficult economic times. More than money, what they search for in the streets is a future. Simon, 16-years-old and already a father, wishes to find back his freedom. On the opposite side, Jota, whose girlfriend is a drug-addict, wants to build a family. Is it loneliness or family that will make a future for this drifting generation?
Gabriel Velázquez signs up the last part of his trilogy on family, which has already received a special mention from the Generation Jury in Berlin. The film is a visual orchestra, which advocates the importance of images over dialogue.
