Good to Go

Brussels Film Festival | Panorama

For Ivan the glass is always half-empty, never half-full. This widowed and former music teacher in his late 70s feels, as his children, that the time has come for him. He buys a plot in a cemetery – with great view on the mountains – and moves into a home for elderly people. But Ivan’s plan to allow his life to end in a fairly businesslike manner goes badly wrong. One day, during a computer course that he did not really want to attend, he encounters an other resident and experiences something that he forgot it existed: fun. Good to Go is a bittersweet comedy about a grumpy old man who decides to find happiness before he dies.
