Bram De Looze’s Septych + Augusto Pirodda Quartet

Bram De Looze’s Septych
Bram De Looze's brand new project Septych puts creativity at the forefront of their musical endeavours. Sometimes improvising, sometimes working with composed material, the seven musicians mix lots of influences from contemporary classical music and jazz. The unusual line-up includes three wind instruments – with both saxes and clarinets –, two cello's, piano and drums.

Augusto Pirodda Quartet
The Brussels-based Italian Augusto Pirodda may very well be the best kept secret of the Belgian jazz scene. He invited Ben Sluijs, one of the big names of his generation, to play in his new quartet. Often clear and melodious, sometimes thrilling and nervous, Pirodda's piano playing is a perfect match to Sluijs' musical sensibility and to the solid rhythm section of Manolo Cabras and Marek Patrman.
