X-Legged Sally, Think Of One, Moker, Flat Earth Society, Jaune Toujours and countless ad hoc collaborations and projects, both inside and outside of jazz: Maris is a creative artist who is constantly exploring new territories. Most recently, this resulted in Krommekeer, a duo-album with Vercampt, released on the Ghent-based label El Negocito Records.

The collaboration with Vercampt puts both musicians in a familiar setting. This mainstay is no prerequisite for Maris, who would be just as keen to take a leap of faith into the unknown, stimulated by endless possibilities. We can only guess at what a double bill with the adventurous Walabix will yield.
