Snowstorms torment; they disorient us and make us lose our way. This torment is analogous to the melancholy which is the result of long, harsh winters. Guided by the bells of a herd and the commentary of the lost, this film is a cross-section of torment. The torment of winter in the mountains, of our bodies and souls – the torment which makes us understand that what nature cannot extract from our senses, it will take from our madness.
