Chilly Gonzales & Kaiser Quartett
Pianist, composer, producer, actor and writer, the Canadian Chilly Gonzales is a gifted keyboard player with a precocious talent, who is endowed with a rare personality and creative hyperactivity. By the early 2000s he emerged as a star of the Berlin underground, appearing in numerous small venues and clubs with extravagant concerts, a mix rap and pop. But in 2004 the "showman" surprised everyone with his "Solo Piano", an album of classical compositions acclaimed by critics and public alike, reflecting his fascinating qualities as a pianist. Inspired, creative, melodic, precise, extremely technical and virtuosic, the whirlwind that is Chilly Gonzales charms all those who hear him. 8 years later, he released "Solo Piano II", first performing as a soloist in venues across the world, before going on to perform his works in the most prestigious international concert halls with string quartets, chamber ensembles and symphony orchestras.
Between these two albums with a classical flavour, this wonderful eclectic musician recorded albums in other styles (rap, electro, rock ...), worked on original collaborations (Jane Birkin, Philippe Katerine, Feist, Drake, Daft Punk ...), picked up an Emmy Award nomination, wrote and starred in his first film ("Ivory Tower"), organised "Piano Battles", and entered the Guiness Book of Reconds (For his record breaking concert of 27 hours 3mins and 44 seconds on stage in Montmartre)...
