Set in the hardship of the mining towns of England, a teenager, struggling in school, refocuses his life on his relationship with a falcon he trains. A gentle portrayal of childhood, coupled with ferocious criticism of the school system, whose gripping and truthful realism continued the fine tradition of free cinema.
