During the first half of the 20th century, many musicians refused to give into the arbitrariness of the authorities. Pianist Stephane Ginsburgh is indisputably one of the leading specialists/experts in this period of time. He will approach four of these composers during two lecture-recitals. Today’s lecture-recital focusses on the musical works of Hungarian composer Béla Bartók and Jewish Austrian composer Viktor Ullmann.
