Lisa Simone - Opening Concert

Lisa Simone took her time before deciding to follow in her mother’s legendary footsteps.  She caught the eye of the jazz world in 2009 alongside Angélique Kidjo, Dianne Reeves and Lizz Wright during their tour "Sing the Truth – the music of Nina Simone". This born singer and actress recently conquered – without much resistance – the great jazz festivals of Vienna, Montreux and the North Sea Jazz Fest. Her first album All is Well offers a perfect blend of her favorite music styles (jazz, soul and the American popular song) with the love that she feels  – as her mother did – for the African continent.
