Flagey once again features the piano for an entire week – there are certainly enough works and performers to fill the Flagey Piano Days for years to come! For this edition, the Brussels Philharmonic will showcase the virtuosity of the legendary Elisso Virsaladze.

The programme begins with Tchaikovsky’s First Piano Concerto – a work that was once dismissed as ‘too difficult, too bulky, too unusual’ but that over the years has become a classic. The concerto is followed by the Brahms Piano Quartet, a youthful composition later arranged for orchestra by none other than Arnold Schoenberg. “
