This silent film tells the sad story of Adolph and Sigismond. These two good friends suddenly have to fight against each other in the war because of their different nationalities. Dating back to just before the outbreak of war, Maudite soit la guerre (Damn the War) is a critique of future tragedies and a warning against the loss of innocence and of humanity. One of the first anti-war movies, set to music for the occasion!
