Fidelio
Brussels Film Festival | Avant-première
Alice, 30, is a sailor. She leaves her man, Felix, on the solid ground and boards as a mechanic on an old cargo ship, the Fidelio. It’s not the first time she set sails, but this journey will be full of surprises. The ocean, an old ship, Ariane Labed’s face, the shadows of Melville and Conrad, Ravel’s moving music are all strong assets in favor of this sensual and sensorial movie. Lucie Borleteau succeeds at creating a master piece with this sentimental and sexual long feature film, her first, mixing the genres and the imaginations. You got it, it’s a must-see.
